Pay kids their allowance in Disney Dollars so they will have money of their own to spend on the trip!
Review the park maps before you get there. Make sure you know what attractions are a must see for your family.
Get a guidebook for kids. Birnbaum's Walt Disney World for Kids is an excellent book to give kids to have them be active in the planning.
Bring quarters and pennies for the penny press machines that are all over the property!
Buy gum before you get to Walt Disney World. They don't sell it in the parks or hotels!
Book early, especially during holidays , specials, and peak times. Resort hotels tend to book up FAST!
Use the FastPass option for those attractions that are MUST RIDES.
It could be cheaper to stay in two rooms in a value or moderate resort than to stay in one room at a Deluxe or Villas room.
Refill your water bottles at the parks rather than buy new ones! Staying hydrated is a must!
Bring your rain gear from home! You'll need it in the summer, and it will be cheaper than buying it at the parks.
Plan to do your shopping at the parks during the afternoon hours rather than the end of the day when everyone else is. Remember that one of the perks of staying at a Disney resort is having your merchandise sent to your resort!
Lastly, remember to have fun! Turn off the cell phone and get lost in the magic!
